Multi-Touch Interface Research

This blog documents the progress of the research project on multitouch interaction and usability and product development of the Struktable by Strukt, a design studio in Vienna, Austria.

The field of research is the usability of multi-touch interfaces focused on multi-user interaction, information retrieval, data visualisation (e.g. complex data, photos or social networks), data manipulation, multi-touch navigation in 2- and 3-dimensional space and multi-user games. Evaluating and comparing different interaction strategies (e.g. developing and evaluating gestures) is also part of the research.

This research has also been developed into a product: the Struktable has been developed for installation in public space at exhibitions, museums, trade fairs, corporate buildings, entry halls, conference centers or public places like train stations and airports.
